Metsec is the first cold roll-forming company globally to be awarded both Kitemark PAS 1192-2 for BIM and BSI Kitemark BS8541 for library objects for architecture, engineering and construction from the British Standards Institution (BSI), proving our commitment to helping customers deliver projects at the design and construction phase, saving time and costs, and enabling us to identify potential issues before they occur.
Our team of engineers continue to work collaboratively with the main contractor and third parties throughout a project to ensure design issues, priorities and construction methods are agreed upon and fully understood by all involved.
Another example of us proactively reacting to market demand is the launch of our innovative range of steel framing system (SFS) products. We recognised the need to increase the efficiency of SFS while reducing both the environmental impact and cost to customers, and therefore we designed a range of products to give specifiers and installers a far greater choice of stud widths and gauges, reduce the amount of wastage through over-specification and provide cost savings on framing projects.
Strict testing
Months of research, design and stringent fire testing were invested to develop our new SFS range of sections, and, with the introduction of more product options to reduce over-specification, we are putting our stake in the ground with regards to where the industry needs to move to if it is to evolve.
Each and every one of our systems is tested or assessed for fire safety by the UK’s leading independent centre – the BRE. We also calculate acoustic and thermal data for complete peace of mind.
ISO 27001
We take information security seriously, and that’s reflected in our ISO/IEC 27001 certification. Metsec is the only custom roll-forming company to have ISO 27001.
The standard provides an independent, expert assessment that information security, including financial information, intellectual property, employee details and third-party information, is managed in line with international best practice and business objectives.
BES 6001
The Government is increasingly focusing on sustainable development, and, as a result, construction companies are prioritising sustainability in their projects. This includes proving that their products have been made with constituent materials that have been responsibly sourced.
All our products are CE-marked and we’re certified BES 6001. This helps a project assessment with its BREEAM rating. BREEAM is the world’s leading sustainability assessment method for master planning projects, infrastructure and buildings.
IP4X
Our cable management range includes rated IP4X trunking systems, utilising off-the-shelf clips, without the need for bespoke systems.
This enables specifiers to provide added reassurance to installers and those servicing the installation that the system meets the legal requirements of the wiring regulations.

MetSPEC 14
Our award winning MetSPEC 14 software optimises the design of purlins, side rails and mezzanine floor joists, incorporating both British Standards and Eurocodes. All new section sizes are also been included within the new software.
