The following abbreviations and acronyms are used throughout the Metframe section of this website and related technical documentation.

BRD	Boarding reference used within Metframe panel/material marks, for example GBRD or 1BRD
BS	British Standard
BTC	Brick Tie Channel
BZP	Bright Zinc Plated
CAD	Computer-Aided Design
CDM	Construction Design and Management Regulations
CEM I	Portland Cement designation, formerly known as Ordinary Portland Cement
CF	Cold Formed, where used in relation to steel sections
CL / ℄	Centre Line
coBIE	Construction Operations Building Information Exchange
CSK	Countersunk
CTR / Ctrs	Centre / Centres
DPC	Damp Proof Course
DPM	Damp Proof Membrane
DRG	Drawing
EPDM	Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer, typically used in sealing washers
EXT	External
FFL	Finished Floor Level
GA	General Arrangement drawing or drawing reference
GF / GRD	Ground Floor
H10 / H12 / H16	High-yield reinforcement bar designations, commonly referring to 10 mm, 12 mm and 16 mm reinforcement bars
HR / Hot Rolled	Hot Rolled steel section or member
IFC	Industry Foundation Classes model format
INT	Internal
IET	Institution of Engineering and Technology
ISO	International Organisation for Standardisation
MC	Main Contractor
M&E	Mechanical and Electrical services
MF	Metsec Framing / Metframe section or detail reference
