What is BIM? A little reminder

BIM, or Building Information Modelling, is the collective pooling and sharing of information on a project.

Taking this collaborative approach can lead to projects being delivered faster and with lower costs – which we think is an all round smarter approach to construction.

What is BIM Level 2?

BIM Level 2 is defined as “managed collaborative working in 3D design using separate models” – but it’s so much more than that!

It’s all the important, non-graphical information, all stored in one place and accessible to the entire project team – enabling collaboration and avoiding clashes.

The BIM model can then be handed over to the client at the end of the project – driving cost savings throughout the buildings lifecycle.

Metsec and BIM

As the first cold roll forming company to be certified to BIM Level 2 by the bsi, Metsec are well placed to help you with BIM.
