2nd June 2016 | Light gauge structural steel specialist voestalpine Metsec plc is looking for five apprentices to enter its award-winning training programme. Based at the company’s facility in Oldbury, West Midlands – complete with a state of the art training centre, the paid apprenticeship scheme offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, whilst completing an NVQ Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operations and allowing progression to Level 3.
Steve Giles, Environmental Safety and Training Manager at Metsec commented: “Nurturing young talent has always been crucial to the success of our business - which was reflected in our Express & Star’s Apprentice Employer of the Year and Business is Good for the Black Country Awards in 2014. To date, we have trained 48 apprentices that now make up 14% of our workforce.
