Technician apprentices have an identical first and second year to the craft apprentices.
The third year they may start to work in a Design or detailing office dealing with the production area so you get a close “hands on feel” for the product and processes. You will be trained to use detailing software such as AutoCad. Other Technician Apprentices have moved into Maintenance. A really challenging service to the business, where every problem is a new one and you will need to learn about mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering.
During the fourth year you will be working in the team or department you plan to specialize in. You will have been adding value to the business since year two.
