Open Profiles
" Open Profiles are sections that have a prominent gap between the two extreme
section edges. These types of sections can be variations of standard shaped profiles
such as Channels, C Sections, Angles and Top Hat Sections. "
The Custom
Roll Forming (CRF) Division produces various types of profile and
common shapes of open sections and supplies our high quality products into the domestic
and international markets. Those sections are rolled on a rolling mill with pairs
of rolls at right angles to each other which can be adjusted to create the required
shape of the section.
Open Profiles can be easily cut to length using either saw or cut off press technology.
Open profiles are used within a wide range of markets including the Construction,
Automotive, Commercial Vehicle, Bridging and Storage & Racking Industry. Due to
their simple profile shapes open profiles can withstand complex pre pierce designs
allowing them to offer the end user a competitively priced profile with a high degree
of flexibility.
Roll formed sections are manufactured to customer specifications. They are designed and engineered
working closely with the customer to achieve the required tolerances and features.
CRF can supply sections within the following range:
- Thickness: between 0.4 mm and 10 mm
- Strip width: from 50 mm up to 1000 mm
- Steel grades: up to 1200 N / mm2 ultimate strength
