For many years we have been perfecting the design and manufacture of continuously welded and highly complex tube profiles up to 5.0mm in thickness. The tubes are progressively formed within the Cold Rolling Process, the profile then passes through a High Frequency weld unit which creates an unbeatable high quality welded seam that is actually stronger than the parent metal. The Weld bead is removed directly after the weld process, to ensure that the cosmetic appearance is of the highest standard the scarfing process is done whilst the metal is still hot and malleable. The scarfing process produces a flat seamless joint giving the customer their desired surface finish.

Welded Tubes

The welded tube can be pre pierced within the rolling process creating a fully finished, highly technical and extremely strong product. Welded tubes, either plain or pierced are used within many different industries such as the Yellow Goods, Off Highways, Office Furniture, Security and Storage & Racking markets.

Good quality material, excellent strip preparation, Eddy Current testing and the strictest of quality standards means Metsec are able to supply special welded tubes for many safety critical applications.
