We have now launched the latest version of our building shell design software MetSPEC 12, with enhanced functionality, including design analysis to Structural Eurocode EC: Part 1.3.
We know that the switch to harmonised European standards for construction is presenting a huge challenge to the steel construction industry. Our aim is to help engineers get used to the new requirements and method of working in relation to wind loading for the structural design to BS EN 1991-1-4 and BS6399-2 for wind loading. Engineers and specifiers can rest assured knowing that MetSPEC 12 load capacities are based on design analysis to Eurocode EC3: Part 1.3.
At the recent Steel Construction Eurocodes design guidance launch, it was
stated that“Engineers need more Eurocode compliant software, of the kind
Metsec is offering with MetSPEC 12 if the industry is to make the transition
to working to Eurocode within the timescale allowed. ”
This software is compatible with Microsoft 2000 onwards
