Metsec is a founder member of the Steel Construction Institue Light Gauge Accreditation (SCILGA) scheme. This scheme was established as the result of a Steel Construction Institute survey of Architects, Consulting Engineers and Steelwork Contractors, who unanimously supported the need for such an initiative for light gauge steel systems.
SCILGA provides the specifier with technical accreditation of our published design data.
This technical accreditation ensures that clients and Specifiers can select from our range of systems, confident that our published design data and product capabilities are supported by appropriate development and evaluation.
The Accreditation Process includes:
A review of our product design data
A review of our test programme
A review of our derivation of design data from our test results
Proof that we have a recognised Quality Assurance System in place
Our SCILGA accreditation is ongoing and is kept up to date. Following our recent move to a higher grade steel, our current design data was resubmitted for approval and a new certificate awarded by the SCI. Select the link below to view the SCILGA Handbook.
