In line with lean manufacturing initiatives, the tools and techniques developed in our
manufacturing process are supporting new product development, resulting in our
new “Rapid Rail Support System”.
Our new “Rapid Rail Support System” allows the Steel Erector to assemble the side rail supports
without the need for tools, nuts, bolts or washers, therefore considerably reducing
installation time.
The system comprises a new 55mm deep channel with two new end fixings, a locater end and a lock end,
which simply clip together through the standard holes provided in the rail. The system comes complete with
a start/ finishing cleat leaving a tidy flush finish removing the need for countersunk bolts, countersunk
holes & packing plates.
The new system is currently available for our 142, 172, 202, 232 and 262 section series and has
already been trialled on several major projects throughout the country proving to be a huge success
with all parties involved.
Despite considerable tooling and development costs, the system is priced as our current side rail
support system, passing on all the potential savings to our valued customers as additional support
in the current economic climate.
The “Rapid Rail System” (RRS) is now available to all StruCAD V15
& Tekla V16.1 licence holders.
