Metsec has supplied 230m of pitched and parallel trusses in a variety of sizes to form a double, pyramid shaped, hip and valley roof over a new two storey classroom block on the airbase.

The most structurally efficient and cost effective way to achieve the correct fall to the unusually shaped roof was to truncate the pitched trusses at the intersection of the valley raker.
