The £24 million Transport Interchange is the first project in the 'Remaking Barnsley' initiative. As well as providing a safe, modern, undercover bus and coach station, the interchange links to both the rail and park-and-ride services and offers passengers a range of shopping and café facilities.

The project had a 62 week construction programme during which time 1,800 m² of Metsec SFS infill was installed within with the hot rolled steel frame using approved Metsec installers in just 12 weeks.
The Interchange also benefits from Metsec zed purlins and is clad using an insulated render system.
