Metsec’s panelised light gauge galvanised steel Metframe system has been used to build a three storey office block for North Ayrshire Council.

Metframe incorporates in-situ concrete intermediate floors within the system and was chosen over the originally proposed timber frame because the structural engineers on the project, Carl Bro, agreed it was more robust. A spokesman for the company said: “We felt Metframe would give the building a more solid feel. It could also achieve longer spans, was fast to erect and competitively priced.”
