We are currently seeking 6 Apprentices to enter our training programme. This is a highly regarded scheme which offers an excellent opportunity to earn while you learn.
Metsec has a thriving Apprentice Centre where you will receive “off the job” training in basic engineering to NVQ Level 2, together with day release at college.
The next stage will be learning to operate a wide range of production roll-forming equipment to a high standard whilst gaining experience in all the relevant support functions such as Toolroom, Maintenance and Production Control, which can lead to an NVQ Level 3.
The ideal candidates will have an outgoing personality, a positive outlook and be willing to learn. It is also essential that you are capable of working, both as a team member as well as on your own initiative.

The Framing Division provides lightweight, fast track galvanized steel building solutions which are assembled on site or pre-panelised off-site as a modern method of construction. You will be required to work as part of the design team of this market leading lightweight structural system, known as SFS and Metframe.
Reports to: Technical Director
Location: Based at Head Office located in Oldbury, West Midlands, but candidate will be expected to travel nationwide on a regular basis.
We need a competent steelwork designer to promote and demonstrate our exciting new software and to support our successful sales team on technical matters and CPD presentations in the field. The successful candidate will be required to assist the Technical Director by attending design team meetings and site visits as required.
Reports to: Sales Director
Location: Head Office is located in Oldbury, West Midlands
Assigned Sales Area will be the Northern Region
Your ideal location would be Manchester / Chester area Job Scope: This role is of key importance to the future growth of the Engineering Division: therefore the successful applicant will have the experience and ability to work in a fast moving sales environment and ideally have a technical and commercial background.
